I din't know if anyone here has it already.. MechStorm made a High Definition Patch for the new MekPak. It's a beta, so use the 'make backups' option when installing so when the final version is released you can upgrade w/out it being a hassle... It's at: www.mechstorm.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3850 [EDIT] It looks like the download is messed up - I'm mirroring it here: vt.beckament.net/temp_mirror/HDP_beta1_for_MP302b.exe right now... probably be a few minutes before it's available (162,139KB) If you get tired of constantly being prompted to fire your missiles (lol) or when the non-beta version is released, here's the official MechStorm uninstall instructions: 1. Restore your textures.mw4 and props.mw4 backups (in 'Mechwarrior Mercenaries\RESOURCE\' folder). 2. That's it, the HDP is now fully uninstalled. =BiA= von Pilsner

Yes, It's an improvement on the graphics/textures. It's a lot like the PR1 or MP2 HDP... Includes better sound effects and increased image quality.. even for (some) buildings, rocks and trees (better trees) - the mechs look better (more detail) and the camo patterns look nicer. Some of the building textures were originally 256x256 and the patch increases them to 1024x1024 so they look very nice. I have not noticed any extra load times or lag or problems (MW4 wants what? a 700MHz processor or so, so it runs fine on my pc even with an older nVidia 6200 card). I suggest trying it out. They have a video of the mp3b HDP here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuL-NEv7QPI (although the quality of videos on youtube leaves something to be desired...)
