I was wondering if anyone uses any other big mods for MW4: Mercenaries... I sometimes play NBT-Hardcore and NetMech IV (both instant action and online only - no campaign mode). I have one install that is MekPak3 for =BiA= and another install (in a different directory) that is NBT-Hardcore and NetMech IV (they can work in the same MW4 install, just remember to install NBT-Hardcore first though...) NBT-Hardcore ( www.netbattletech.com/nbt-hc/) is it's own league, but they have open servers too (which is where I played it on). It changes the available mechs and weapons (changes the weapon slots too). NetMech IV ( www.mechstorm.net/projectdocs/netmech/netmech.htm) installs over Hardcore and adds classic Battletech rulseset to MW4. It is supposed to be the closest thing you can get to Classic Battletech for Mechwarrior 4 Mercs on the PC. Heat is now a huge factor!! It allows you to play in 4 different timelines: 3025, 3050, 3067, and 3070. I'd like to get a few of us together to play MW4: Co-op ( www.mechstorm.net/projectdocs/mercscoop/mercscoop.htm) at some point. Some guys converted nearly all the campaign missions to multiplayer co-op missions. It might be good for our training (I have not played it yet because you can't add bots as teammates - need humans). =BiA= von Pilsner
